The Best.Lipstick Ever!!!

Hi Guys.....

Recently i came across a quote by Gwyneth Paltrow " Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a Sensational RED LIPSTICK. " And i was feeling it. The first part was right but the second part was bang on for me. Though i am not much of a make up person but lipsticks have always held a special soft spot in my heart. I still remember my first ever experience with any kind of make up was with my mom's  'Red Lipstick'. Once she would go to work i would sneak into her make up drawer and shamelessly apply 3-4 coats of red lipstick. And looking back i can imagine my lips looking like a letter box but at that time it made me feel pretty. And the love affair has continued till date.

So when i went to buy my first make up product few years back it was a Red Lipstick. Personally i feel Red Lipstick is like a magic hat. It can make you feel powerful, confident, strong, sexy, feminine. I have used a couple of red lipsticks over the years but for me the BEST RED LIPSTICK or just the best lipstick ever will have to be MAC's RUBY WOO. It has this perfect beautiful red color that it neither flashy red nor vampire red its little bit brick red little bit pinkish red little bit reddish red. Its awesome. There are times when you just wake up late and you dont have time for the daily shenanigans, a little dab of Ruby Woo and i am good to go. It just brightens up my face and makes me look fresh. Its a matte finish so if you have dry lips then you will need to prep it up with a little lip balm before applying it. The pigmentation is amazing. Usually one coat does it for me. And the staying power?? I can go through my evening snack, dinner and in between munch-ins and still that baby stays when i reach home after 12 hrs. And one of the best things i have noticed about it is that even though i feel like its been made just for me. my friend who is 3-4 shades lighter than me feels its made for her. It suits anyone. Even my mom loves it. And behold ladies so do the boys :-P on you i mean. The only con i can think for it will be the price. Currently its 1490 rps i think which is kind of steep. But i feel your totally worth it;-) If you ever want to own a Mac this has to be it.

Life is too short. Make every day a Red Lipstick Day ;) Cheers!!

DIY- How to reuse your old clothes (Part 1)

Hi Guys....

How you been ? The sale season has started. Ready to get our closets filled with all the beautiful clothes and shoes and bags. But this leaves us with lots of old clothes which we dont use anymore and are collecting dust and wasting space in our closet. One we could donate them to the needy or if you are getting bored one Sunday afternoon you could put on your Edward Scissorhands and make something out of it. So lets get started.

A)Cute Hair Bow

Material:- Old T shirt, glue gun, scissor and a hair pin.

Method:- 1)Cut out a piece of cloth from your old t shirt.
2)Fold this piece into a rectangular strip and glue it up.
3)Cut the the rectangular piece into a smaller piece according to the size of your hair pin.
4)Fold the ends of the piece to give it a clean look and glue them.
5)Cinch the piece in the center to make it into bow shape and glue it.
6)Cut out a tiny strip of the same fabric and glue it at the center to give it a more polished                        look.
7)Glue the bow to your pin and Voila your cute bow is ready ;)

B) Chunky Bangle

Materials:- Old plastic bottle of water, cutter, scissor, hot glue, old clothes, some beads for decorating.

Method:- 1)Take the water bottle and cut out a chunky part in shape of a bangle.
2)Cut out stripes of clothes probably of different colors if you want to make it fun.
3)Then just glue one end to the bottle and start wrapping the stripes of fabric around the cut                    out bangle until its comfortable and fits your hand.
4)You can decorate the bangle by gluing bead or stuff like that.

Hope you guys liked these DIYs.. Cheers :D

Welcome 2015 and OOTN

Hi Guys...

Happy New Year. 2014 is officially over and i can finally give a sigh of relief. I would have to say it was a hard one. More like a typical Bollywood movie romance, heartbreak, drama, action, fights, comedy; it had everything. Lots of lessons learnt. Few days back i couldn't wait for this year to end. This year was like perfect example of Murphy's Law.Everything that could go wrong did. But as i sat on the roof watching the crackers burst in the sky in million colors it stuck me that life is like these crackers. It has to burn to burst out into something amazing. So no matter how hard it gets, it will get over.

I think the most important thing i learnt this year was relationships be it with your parents or siblings or friends or music or anything is what will help you make it through. A lot of people come and go. There also a lot of 'almost's' out there. But then sometimes you get lucky and you find the 'one in a million' kind. The ones who will be always there when you need them no matter what. Who will accept you for who you are, who will go mental with you so you don't feel odd one out,who laugh and cry with you, whom you give a part of heart. These are the keepers and i feel that's the best 2014 gave me finding few of these 'one in a million' kind. Love ya... ;-)

Coming to what i wore for new year's eve. I decided to keep it simple. I wore a black maxi skirt from Max and paired it with a muscle tee from Vero moda. And since its winter i added a black lace shrug i got from Sarojini. To finish it off we have a satchel bag from Forever 21 (my current fav), watch and My spiked wrist belt and some colorful flip flops from westside.

As for 2015 lets bring the house down... Cheers :D
